Pura D’Or Argan Oil Giveaway

Pura D'Or Special Argan Package

I have been a huge lover of argan oil since the days of travelling in Morocco watching the women coat their hair and skin in this magical elixir.  I loved it and acknowledged it’s miraculous healing properties even before it hit the shores of the US and became a ubiquitous part of the organic and natural skincare movement.  I used to sit in awe and watch the women pick the undigested pits from the ground, and press them into this “liquid gold”.

Nowadays, most argan oil expeller presses the kernels that have been roasted and is used for culinary or left unroasted for cosmetic purposes.

Argan oil is rich is in  tocopherols (vitamin E), phenols, carotenes, squalene, and fatty acids.  It is a major source of resorcinal which is a fantastic compound for treating everything from acne to eczema.

I love this oil as an ingredient (or sometimes the whole enchilada) for oiling my hair and for use in the OCM or oil cleansing method.   It is light but really penetrates into the skin and scalp.  Full of antioxidants, it makes a good moisturizer for normal skin. It is a fantastic oil for healthy and strong nails as well.

Pura D’Or Argan Oil is USDA Certified Organic and Ecocert Certified (which is no small feat!).   It is bottled in amber bottles to avoid oxidation so the oil will last 12-18 months (a little longer if refrigerated). The quality of this Argan oil is some of the purest I have seen in the US and Europe and I use it for every part of my body.

I think Argan oil would be good for my needs because I have really dried skin and it can help with my frizzy hair, give it some shine and add some moisture to it.

    Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!!

I also started hot oil treatments with coconut oil but have moved to a blend, typically with coconut, avocado, and sesame oil, sometimes I add a little jojoba oil.

I love the OCM method too!

I haven’t tried Argan oil yet but would love too!

I love argan oil! I actually just finished up the last of some that I had because my daughter used most of it on her hair. It is such an awesome oil and is wonderful for hair and face. I need it because I didn’t get to use much of the last bottle I had. I have long curly, dry hair and it is so nourishing!

I have been reading about the amazing benefits of Argan oil, and I would love to try it. I have tried other oils as well, I love coconut oil, but have always wanted to try Argan. I have sensitive skin and dry/fizzy/curly hair. I think it would be very beneficial to me. Thanks :)

The benefits for my hair would be that is would help the split ends and help it be softer.
The benefits for my facial complexion would be so help stimulate skin cells, reduce scarring and hopefully help balance skin tone.

My hair gets very dry and brittle from using the straight iron on it. This would protect my hair and also make it look shiny and healthy

I use argan oil for so much. I recently had back surgery, and I am using it to try and reduce scarring. My skin and hair are completely trashed from the medication, so I use it for that too! I even have an argan oil face cleanser, although it’s just a sample size unfortunately, I love it!

Moroccan oil is famous in skin care and hair care, but it is an excellent addition to cooking. Pure argan oil has many health benefits including a high vitamin E content and a variety of essential fatty acids. It is traditionally used in the cuisine of the indigenous Berber tribes in Morocco, and they also know about its health-giving and medicinal properties.

I used to use Argan hair oil but I switched to the Shielo shine restoration oil – its is a type of amazon oil which I heard about on TV. The Shielo hair oil is nothing short of amazing. I’m a product junkie with thick/frizzy hair, and have NEVER experienced a hair product like this before. I have tried this formula both ways: on wet and on dry hair. Using it on dry hair gives it a bit of a shine…and even a little body.

Shielo looks like a good product. I will be interested to see the complete list of ingredients.
